For years, XRP has performed dismally even failing to rise to a new all-time high during the 2021 or late 2024 market rallies. However, this one factor will help explode past $10 in the next 5 years.
XRP is the only large-cap digital currency that is yet to rally to a new all-time high in more than 7 years. But there is a logical explanation for this underwhelming price action.
Note that throughout this period, Ripple Labs was dealing with an extended court case whereby the SEC claimed that XRP was a security.
The 600% price jump and a climb toward $3.44 in January 2024 can be attributed to winning the court case and the coming to power of the crypto-friendly Trump Administration.
Legal Clarity To Drive the Next Phase of XRP Price Explosion
In January, the SEC set up a task force dedicated to developing a clear regulatory framework for crypto assets. The newly appointed SEC Chair, Paul Atkins, has also said that the crypto sector deserves clearer regulations.
Note that the lack of clear laws had the greatest impact in stifling XRP’s growth. Therefore, we expect clearer crypto laws and a friendly SEC administration to spur the greatest comeback for XRP prices.
With Regulatory Clarity Comes More Opportunities for Growth
The SEC has already deleted the Ripple case from their website, and Ripple Labs CEO confirmed that the agency had withdrawn the appeal case. This clears the path for the smooth approval of the many XRP ETFs already filed with the regulatory agency.
It also clears the path for the seamless addition of XR into the US Strategic Crypto Reserves announced by President Trump. All these bullish catalysts will play the biggest role in determining how high XRP prices can jump in the next five years.
What Will XRP be Worth in 5 Years?
