Ripple vs. SEC – It’s ‘over’ now?!
One of the most important developments for XRP is the (not so tough to predict) victory by Ripple in its case against SEC. While XRP was already deemed not to be a security, the pressure is now off Ripple which is the primary catalyst enabling use cases that will benefit XRP.

XRP price for January 2025
Readers know by now that we don’t read much into the news, also not ‘fundamental’ news (which, in the crypto world, in our view, is adoption related news).
We believe reading the chart is so much more important.
As explained in our XRP prediction 2025, we believe that XRP is up for a break in January 2025. The ‘pump’ was strong, and not any market moves in one direction.
While many analysts focus on price, we set ourselves apart by also analyzing time:
- XRP has one spectacular and secular decisive time window: Q2/2025. This is the time when XRP might clear ATH.
Note – this timeline prediction has a buffer of 3 weeks. So, what we are saying is that IF there was a great point on XRP’s timeline where it could hit ATH, it’s going to be Q2 +/-3 weeks which is between March 10th and July 20th, 2025.

How to know when XRP will start a rally to ATH?
We believe the XRPBTC chart has the answer.
As seen below, on the long term XRPBTC chart, the chart structure on the XRPBTC chart signaled the start of the big rally. We flashed a major buy signal once XRPBTC bottomed in the green shaded area.
Our viewpoint is simple – XRPUSD will start a rally to ATH once XRPBTC clears its 50% Fibonacci level (fine purple line).
Conclusion
The recent XRPUSD rally requires a break.
XRP is likely going to consolidate in January 2025.
This is a good thing, not a bad thing, especially if XRP respects $1.81 throughout January.
If there would be a time frame in which XRPUSD could print fresh new highs, it would be between March 20th and July 20th, 2025.
We will know when XRPUSD will start a rally to ATH once XRPBTC exceeds its 50% Fib level. That’s when XRP holders can open a bottle of champagne.
